I want a my free credit score BUT CAN’T GET IT!?
Okay, I would like to know where my credit score is. I DO NOT have a credit card so I cannot put a credit card number in the area that REQUIRES it…. I went to a site last year that DID NOT NEED a credit card and got my credit score.. my mother did it also and got hers. She has very bad credit and it seemed accurate :] BUT I DONT REMEMBER THE SITE. So are there any helpful people on that KNOW of any sites that doesnt require a credit card? And PLEASE don’t waste my time or anyone elses with any negative comments or feedback because you have NOTHING better to do :] I KNOW there is a site that is free… so don’t tell me theres not! THANKS =D

www.annualcreditreport.com. They have 3 companies where you can get your credit report from. It’s free once a year.

I found out that my credit is A right now investing in a website on my profile. Maybe they can do the same for you if you decide to sign up. However, I don’t know what A denotes exactly -good is it.

freecreditreport.com. its free but you have to cancel in less than 30 days otherwise it would be 12 dollars a month. I kept it because its only 12 a month and you can track your score every month.

There is a difference between a credit score and a credit report. Since you mentioned your mother looked and hers and seemed accurate, that would be the credit report. The credit report has all the trade lines – loans, credit cards, and other items that lenders put on it. The only site that I know of that you don’t need a credit card is annualcreditreport.com. And just skip over the stuff they may be selling that asks for a card and you will eventually get to the credit report request.
The credit score is the extra number on the top of a credit report – nothing but a number – and as you may have received a free one in the past, everyone is charging for those now. But I really think you want your report.

    EDIT:
at annualcreditreport.com, if you say “no, I don’t want to know my score” and skip anything that charges, you can get to the free credit report. I just did that and never entered a card. And I checked the report for Equifax. They are all going to charge for your score but you can get the credit report for free once a year. Maybe it hasn’t been quite a year for you and in that case there’s a charge.
